In the story, we follow Mel and her family that have went to glacier Park and this park is unusual because there is a group of people that park rangers have apparently noticed but haven't done really anything about and these people have been giving the bears trash as food and this ends up causing a problem for Mel or the main character because she ends up getting in trouble by the bears that attack her multiple times and in the end she ends of living but with a few wounds because she hears something that has to do with her past and she blames herself for her mother's death but in reality it wasn't her fault.
